This explains what personal data peopleinmotion.com ("we", "us") collects, why, and what say you have over it. It's written in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email us and we'll clarify it.

Who we are

People in Motion is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us by post at 286a Chase Side, London N14 6HF, or by email at move@peopleinmotion.com.

What we collect

• Your email address: only if you submit it through the contact form on this site.
• Standard technical data: every web server logs basic request information (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for security and troubleshooting. Our hosting provider handles this, not a third-party analytics service. We don't run Google Analytics or any similar tracking on this site.

We don't ask for your name, phone number, address or any other personal detail. We don't use cookies to track you (see our Cookie Policy for the full picture).

Why we collect it, and our legal basis

We use your email address for one reason: to reply to you. Our legal basis is legitimate interest, responding to a message you chose to send us, or where relevant your consent given by submitting the form. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us and asking us to delete your details.

Who we share it with

We use Formspree (formspree.io) to receive and deliver contact form submissions to our inbox. Formspree processes that data on our behalf as a data processor. Formspree is based in the United States; where personal data is transferred outside the UK or EU, Formspree's own safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) apply. We don't sell, rent or trade your data to anyone, for any reason.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form submissions only for as long as needed to deal with your message, and no longer than 24 months unless we have an ongoing reason to stay in touch with you (for example, you become a collaborator). After that, it's deleted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:

• ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it (access);
• ask us to correct anything inaccurate (rectification);
• ask us to delete your data (erasure);
• ask us to restrict or object to how we use it;
• ask for your data in a portable format;
• withdraw consent at any time, where consent is our basis for processing.

To use any of these rights, email move@peopleinmotion.com. We'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or, if you're in the EU, your local data protection authority.

Children

This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
